Sure the concept of judging and policing the relationships of absolute strangers isn't new. Even as of late we're blatantly rating the legitimacy of activities on a scale of 0 to an actual date.
If you're not familiar with the "Yall consider this a date" social media trend, I believe it kicked off with a couple mixing music and smoking in the living room as their "classified date" and the video was available to scrutinize up and down, left and right..

Since then people have been half joking/half seriously inquiring if certain situations constitute as dates.
Now do I personally view these references as dates?... Lol.. No. And that's ok -- my opinion
I'm obliged to share that a date has been defined by the internet as a "social or romantic appointment or engagement." And under those terms in the eyes of each individual beholder, the scenarios above may be seen as plausible date ideas. I just can not. And most definitely will not for any first date negotiation.
But then questions arise 1) Where does the line of just chilling end and an actual date start? 2) Is there such a thing as asking for too much? 3) When are we able to call these dates? Maybe after establishing something more solid or official.. One can't possibly muster up constant fancy, dress up outings by force.
These are all very important questions that I won't be providing answers for. What?!?? Yea I know.
We've got to stop imposing our standards on outsider relationships.
Awknowledge what works FOR YOU and make sure YOU'RE getting what YOU want.
However sis, pizza on the bed NOT A DATE...
