I WENT BLONDE... LIKE FOR A SECOND

Happy Monday folks!

Since my birthday post I've been getting a few questions about the state of my hair... specifically the color.

I mean yes I went blonde... not for too long but yall noticed regardless and it apparently was a big deal.

I've mentioned before that I have this huge appreciation for wigs as protective styling right?

Well this dark root to blonde wig is just the newest addition to my collection.

I'm not one to do a full on hair review so here are two videos I used from YouTube when it came to considering the hair and before making my purchase. Both saying pretty much the same thing....

Now I purchased the hair from WigTypes for about $30 when tax and all was settled (click here). And that's that.

The color on me is nice and was a major risk but I had to try it for the summer. Especially thinking back to my coloring fail on the DIY curly wig for spring.

What I like the most about Freetress is that they do such a fantastic job making the hair and color blend both look and feel so realistic. Some of the other synthetic companies... I'm not quite sure what they're up to...

I'm definitely still getting used to seeing myself blonde. It's also been years since I've gone for anything close to color#27 braids so... To put into perspective, last fall, I ventured to a dark root- red haired wig during school and started to wear it out/ love it instantly. However blonde is still taking time.

I don't wear the hair much anyway because overwhelmingly colored hair while I'm still under the roof of my Nigerian parent's for the summer calls for attention and a conversation I'd rather not have.

Additionally it's just too hot for a wig. Even for my upart which gives a little more breathing space (granted it's huge and curly...) the heat is too much.

I'd rather love on my hair out on it's own and let it be free.

So that's my update on why my hair went through a week (actually less than a full week) change. Now I'm back to normal.

Being that I don't plan on exhausting the unit any time soon it could most likely make a comeback.

But yes. Here are some pics of how the hair looked right out of packaging and I guess I'll catch you guys on my next post!

Bye.
