MAY 4, 2015 SONGS FOR THE WEEK

This has been an eventful weekend. Friday night was great, probably one of the most enjoyable Friday nights I've had in a couple months.

Of course that meant Saturday and Sunday needed to suck in comparison and in fact, I'd say that both Saturday and Sunday were the least enjoyable Saturday and Sundays I've had in a while.

It's yet to be confirmed; but thanks to dancing in the wind on Friday, while spring has sprung and pollen is beginning to fill the air, my hay fever has flared to about 1000% and even today (Monday) I'm taking a sick day because my eyes, nose, and throat are all plotting against me.

I haven't been properly sick in ages and I thought my preparation for spring was on point - implied through my stash of Zyrtec, however being out Friday night caught up with me and I'm paying for it big time.

Darn you Oregon with your trees and greenery.

Everything I had planned for the weekend took backseat to generally feeling like crap and I snuggled in bed with headphones in and the rest of the world tuned out.

Here are 5 songs I've been listening to that are very upbeat and responsible for keeping my spirits high...

DISCLAIMER: They're all African songs (:
