STRESS FREE!!! SUNDAY + ME

Happy Sunday Folks!

At least now it is.

Let me paint the scene for y'all.

Tired and beat down from the week plus her active Saturday, (I didn't even get to sleep in); Amara chooses to go to bed a tad bit earlier than she's used to... around 10pm exactly.

12:30/:40 ish, she is awaken to the shrill cry of the fire alarm ringing through the building "pew pew pew pew" (my impression of it all) and let's not forget the blinking lights sure to be a problem for those with epilepsy...

She is now outside with the luck of the previous night's (or was it the still the current night's) epic rain episode to be over, leaving a squishy mess in the grass everyone was to stand in.

Apparently a fire sprinkler's pipe burst on one of the floors causing water to run out into the hallway and some of the water splashed onto our fire alarm system setting everything off.

It took about 3 hours to shut down the water and the reset the alarms so they held the people (Amara included) in a separate building until then.

The aftermath involved sending the residents of the flooded floor somewhere else to sleep, and Amara finally getting in bed around 4/4:30am - in contrast to her 10pm hopes.

I (back to first person) woke up around 11 in the morning and decided to skip on church, which would have been the BEST POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY for stress relief in my book.

I usually make the 9am or 11am mass times and waking up at 11 kind of crossed everything out. I woke up tensed and uneasy from the morning's fiasco... so I definitely needed something to calm me down.

Well it's funny how music, coffee, sun, and a little organization could smooth things out.

Every Sunday I update my coming week's calendar with the new plans and such I make throughout the previous one. It's almost like the final run down of what I'm going to do... nothing's real until it's written in colorful ink and then highlighted in the same color.

Thanks to bloom's Chevron Calendar, Spotify's Stress Free playlist, and having Starbucks in my cup, I feel so much better than I woke up; both at 12:30 and at 11 am.

I guess it's also a blessing all of this happened on a 3-day weekend.

Imagine if it were a school day and I had to be awake before 8 in the morning for class...
